DAMON SMILE BRACES: TIE-LESS, SELF LIGATING BRACES We offer Damon Braces, which provide several distinct advantages over traditional braces. The Damon System is not just about revolutionary braces and wires, it's a whole new way of treating patients. Traditional treatment often requires removal of healthy teeth and/or the use of palatal expanders to make space. This approach is often uncomfortable, takes longer, and can leave a narrower arch and a flat profile. Damon smiles are full, natural 10-tooth smiles achieved with light biologically-sensible forces, and are specifically designed to improve the overall facial result of each patient. Following the video are questions we are typically asked:
ClearCorrect invisible aligners straighten teeth without metal braces. Treatment is performed through a series of invisible aligners that are worn at least 22 hours per day. The aligners apply pressure to the teeth and are replaced with new aligners every four to six weeks as your treatment progresses. Our patients have had beautiful results with this option.
Q: Are all braces the same?
A: With the Damon System, we don't just align the teeth, we create beautiful smiles that take into account a number of factors such as your face, profile and other variables that are import in anticipating what you will look like in your 40s, 50s and beyond. The Damon System is designed to deliver results for a lifetime.
Q: How long does treatment take?
A: Treatment time with the Damon System is typically much faster than with conventional braces, with far fewer appointments required during treatment.
Q: Since the Damon System works so quickly, does that mean it is harsh or unsafe?
A: No. In fact, what makes the Damon System work so quickly is that it uses far gentler, more biologically sensible forces than conventional braces. The low-friction nature of the system assures improved tooth position and facial harmony.
"They did a nice job fixing up my daughters teeth. My son is next." Randy D.
Q: Will my teeth hurt after adjustments?
A: Very light "shape memory" titanium wires are used that gently guide your teeth to their ideal position. Many people experience very little discomfort.
Q: Aren't braces big and bulky?
A: Not any more! Braces are much smaller than they were just a few years ago, and new materials are now used that make them discreet.
Q: Will I need headgear?
A: In the past, creating space and developing arches required bulky headgear and palatal expanders. The Damon System's revolutionary approach uses light, biologically-sensible forces to develop beautiful natural arches, in most cases without the need for headgear or palatal expanders.
Q: What about adult treatment?
A: Adults can be treated quickly, easily, and to a high-quality result.
Q: How much does the Damon System treatment cost?
A: Damon Braces are usually similar to the cost of traditional braces. We offer flexible and affordable monthly payment plans.
Q: What materials are used in Damon braces and archwires?
A: Damon System metal braces are available in two materials, stainless steel or polycarbonate for exceptional strength and durability. Damon Clear braces are composed of ceramic for durability and enhanced aesthetics. The Damon System offers several types of archwires that come in varying materials and sizes as well as a nickel free solution.
