Dr. Daniel A. Kruse, Orthodontist
One of the most fulfilling things about my job as an orthodontist is how I am able to make a positive difference in the lives of my patients. Laughing, smiling and confidence come so much easier when a person knows that they have a beautiful smile and healthy, straight teeth. They are genuinely happier, and I’m proud to be a part of making that happen.
Each person I treat wants to improve their smile, yet everyone has individual clinical needs and personal concerns. I recommend a treatment process that works for each person’s clinical needs and lifestyle. I enjoy getting to know each of my patients and hearing of their latest news during appointments.
Orthodontics is a field where there are constant changes in technology, materials and the processes employed to gently move and properly align a patient’s teeth. It is essential that orthodontists remain aware of these developments. Each year I participate in continuing education opportunities locally, regionally and nationally. In addition to attending meetings, conferences and seminars, I also stay current with the latest research findings and discussions of treatment methodologies. This ensures my patients are afforded access to the highest quality of care and treatment options.
OUTSIDE THE OFFICE
I was born in Cleveland and have lived in Syracuse, St. Louis, and Birmingham, MI, where I graduated from high school. Caledonia is now my home. I share my life with my daughter Samantha, son David, and two dogs, Kirby and Bailey. When I am not caring for my patients I can usually be found spending time with my kids, fishing, or on the golf course.
KATHY • Financial Coordinator and Administrative Assistant
I handle scheduling and billing for the practice and look forward to helping patients with their questions. It is a pleasure to work in an office where there is a uplifting environment and everything revolves around making sure the patient and parents have a positive experience with us.
I am an avid reader and love spending time with my husband, two daughters, two sons-in-law, and six adorable grandchildren, with another on the way!
Mary • Office Manager
I love to meet new patients and see them looking forward to starting treatment, even better, is their excitement at finishing and seeing their new smiles! I get to know each patient and the family as I work with them to schedule their first appointments and assist in finding a financial plan that works with their budget. I work in our front office to keep everything running smoothly, including our computer system.
Spending time with my granddaughter and grandson, as well as my husband Tom, and son and daughter-in-law are my priorities outside of work. I also enjoy boating, knitting, and reading.
Marty • Chairside Assistant and Lab Technician
I provide chairside assistance to Dr. Kruse during orthodontic procedures and I also work in our on-site lab to fabricate appliances. Other duties include our office correspondence and accounts payable. I love establishing relationships with our patients and having a hand in their treatment. It is enjoyable to see patients looking forward to their visits and arriving with big smiles on their faces!
My priority away from work is being with my family. My husband’s name is Dan, I have two daughters, Sarah and Becky, and a son Josh. Sarah lives in Singapore so we keep in touch using Skype.
Lisa • Chairside Assistant
My work involves helping Dr. Kruse chairside as he cares for patients. I make sure he has everything he needs and ensure the patient is comfortable. I like meeting our patients and their families, and talking with them about their interests and adventures when they come for their visits. It is a real treat to watch patients’ confidence grow as their teeth straighten and they become more comfortable smiling and laughing.
When I am not at work I like to be with my husband, son, daughter and our family dog. Some of my hobbies include boating, gardening, and photography.
Nancy • Dental Technician
My days are spent fabricating the retainers, expanders, and all appliances worn by our orthodontic patients. I enjoy working with my hands, and meticulously create each piece to very detailed specifications so there is a perfect fit for the patient.
I’m married, family-focused and have a huge soft spot for all animals... and I love the Beatles too.
Julie • Chairside Assistant
I work closely with Dr. Kruse and our patients during a patient visits to provide chairside support. I love watching a patient’s excitement build as he or she gets nearer to finishing treatment, and then seeing those beautiful smiles the day the braces are removed! Everyone here celebrates this because it is such a special day.
I’m married with two sons and enjoy watching baseball and going on camping trips.
Diana • Insurance Coordinator
I enjoy working with patients and their families to help them maximize insurance benefits, and assist them in navigating their insurance program, including insurance filing and problem-solving.
When I’m away from work, I go camping, walking, and biking. I’m married with two children and four grandchildren, and love spending time with my family.
